Information about Arroyo Medina, Almeria
Arroyo Medina is located in a rural area of Almeria known as Los Velez which has stunning scenery and a wonderful climate.
The population consists mainly of local Andalucian farmers whose way of life has not changed for decades. Their main crops are Almonds, Oranges and Lemons, many of the farmers still herd goats.
The area is now becoming popular with English, German and Dutch who are looking for true unspoilt Spain. Property prices are very affordable compared to the nearby coastal regions.
Most of the property in the area are the much sought after traditional cortijo's which make charming homes with their thick stone walls and beamed ceilings.
Arroyo Medina is close to the Sierra Maria national park and the vibrant market towns of Albox and Velez Rubio. Almeria and Murcia airports are just over an hours drive.
