Carboneras is situated 25km south of Mojacar and 60km north of Almeria City and Airport A small but very beautiful, coastal town situated at the northern end of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, Carboneras, Costa de Almeria, Spain is a popular holiday resort with fine, white, sandy beaches and some of the best seafood restaurants. The centre is very picturesque with its narrow, cobbled streets that are lined with shops, ice cream parlours and plenty of bars and restaurants all of which are situated just one street back from the beach. The promenade is also lined with bars and restaurants and almost untouched by international tourism ensuring the town still has its original charm and beauty. A good day to visit Carboneras, Costa de Almeria, Spain is a Thursday so you can take time out to wander around the weekly market and if you still have an hour or two to spare then take a stroll along the promenade to the lighthouse where the views of the Almeria Coastline are spectacular.
