Information about Velez De Benaudalla, Granada
The village of Vélez de Benaudalla is situated 12 kms. inland from the Costa Tropical of Granada. Has a population of 3.000 people.
The town offers magnificent uninterrupted, panoramic views to the surrounding counytryside with the snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountain range as a spectacular backdrop.
The village, located on the edge of the Alpujarra Natural Park, is situated just 14 kilometres from the coastal resort of Salobreña with its beaches and 18 hole golf course;
Almunecar with it’s International School is approximately 30 mins. away, whilst the main town of Motril is just 15 minutes drive. Granada, with its world famous Alhambra Palace, Sierra Nevada ski resort and international airport, is just 20 minutes away.
Close by there are many small inland villages such as Los Guajares, Orgiva and Lanjaron, the last notably famous for its natural mountain water and springs. It is also well placed for both Malaga and Almeria airports.
Shortly, the remaining motorway links will be completed allowing quick and easy access to the Costa del Sol, Andalucia and the rest of Spain.

Vélez de Benaudalla is a municipality located in the province of Granada, Spain. According to the 2006 census (INE), the city has a population of 2965 inhabitants.
