Information about Fuerteventura, Canary Islands
I have been looking to buy in Fuerteventura for 12 months now. I started off looking at 1 beds.
12 months later all those I looked at are still on the market many at up to 10, 15% even 20% less. Earlier this year I started looking at 2 bed apartments. Again all remain in the estate agents "window"
Many vendors have been asking me to make them an offer. This coupled with cheap flight operators going to the wall, opportunist flight/holiday price rises by the main carriers and local bars and restaurants going out of business suggest property prices are falling back.
The suggestion of prices rising in some quarters is absolute nonsense.

The latest house price statistics from Kyero.com show Fuerteventura asking prices increasing between Q2 and Q3 2008 - how can this be explained?
1 bed properties have decreased slightly and 2, 3 & 4 bed properties have increased. On the face of it these figures appear to be reliable.
