Alameda Located just 15 mins north of Antequera in the Malaga province with a population of approx 4300 and 430m above sea level. This traditional village has a true Spanish feel and is approx a 60 mins drive to the Costa Del Sol It boasts two elements of extreme interest to the tourist: firstly, it is home to the grave of Jose Maria Hinojosa, El Tempranillo, the most famous Andalusian highwayman of the 19th century, who died not far from Alameda at the hands of a former accomplice in 1833, and secondly, it features La Ratosa Lagoon, an area protected by the Andalusian Regional Government. This village is located in the province of Malaga and surrounded by plantations of olive trees.

Alameda is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalucía in southern Spain. The municipality is situated approximately 85 km to the city of Málaga. It has a population of approximately 5,000 and the natives are called Alamedanos or Lametanos. The Bandito "El Tempranillo" is buried here.
