The Mar Menor is such a pretty area and maintains much of the Spanish way of life and this is the reason we visit year after year.

Some very nice towns and village’s worth a visit are Cabo de Palos near the La Manga strip and Los Alacazares at the heart of the Mar Menor.

You can visit the Mar Menor all year round as the climate is very good and suits most visitors. There is lots to see and do from sight seeing, golf, lazy days on the fabulous beaches or pampering yourself with a mud treatment which the area is renowned for.

La Manga del Mar Menor is a heaven for water sport and beach lovers alike.

Besides some forty kilometers of beach, the choice of two seas, La Manga has three Marinas, and a host of sailing and skiing schools.

The Mar Menor is famous for Kite surfing, and the world championship has been held here several times. It is also noted for wind surfers.

La Manga del Mar Menor (The Sleeve of the Minor Sea) is a resort town in Murcia, Spain. It should not be confused with the nearby La Manga Club resort, known for hosting numerous football (soccer) clubs from all over the world during the winter months. La Manga Cup has been staged every year since 1999.

The La Manga Strip is a strip of land 21 km long and 300 metres wide (average). La Manga means 'sleeve' and it is a strip of land which separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Mar Menor (Small Sea). It also has many hotels, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants. One of the most popular areas with young adults is the Zoco area.

La Manga has more than 40 km of Blue Flag beaches which attract a lot of water sports enthusiasts.

The nearest airport is San Javier (MJV).
