Ojos, from the Arabic word (Oxox) meaning orchards still conserves an old fashioned feeling, and it is recommended that you wander around the narrow colourful streets and soak in the atmosphere. It is small and it has kept alive many old traditions and crafts. There is a small local market every Sunday morning. It is the smallest town in the Ricote Valley with around 600 inhabitants. In the Jardin del Rio is an artificial geyser which impels water to about 20m in height, accompanied by 15 small spouts of water. The spouts are illuminated with focuses of diverse changing colours. This is located inside the river, offering a spectacular combination of water, light and colour upon contemplating it in the night, next to the ´´Paseo de las Palmeras¨¨ (walk of the palms), the spout can be seen several kilometres away.
