There is a good size swimming pool with a lovely patio area complete with built in bar-b-queue. The property has all services connected plus the benefit of a telephone so that you can keep in touch with your family at home! The cave is set on the edge of the village just a short walk to the centre of Cortes de Baza with it various bars, restaurants, shops including a medical centre. There is also an excellent outdoor public swimming pool with childrens area and a bar serving drinks, ice cream and snacks, which is open from end of June to the end of August.

Cortes de Baza is a typical Andalucian village with various shops and restaurants, school, pharmacy, medical centre, bars and banks and outdoor swimming pool surrounded by the Sierra de Baza and Sierra de Castril mountain ranges. It also has a beautiful Catholic Church with Mudejar architecture dating back to the 16th century, which has recently been named as a Spanish Historic Heritage site. In the spring months the area is alive with fields of beautiful poppies and wild flowers and almond blossom. This peaceful area is famous for its friendly people, summer weather and quiet surroundings close to nature making it ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, bird watching etc.
Although you are inland and away from the sea, there is an open air municipal swimming pool which is open from July until September with a small café offering snacks, drinks and ice cream.
A short 20 minutes drive from Cortes is the large town of Baza being the capital of the area of that name. Here you will find all the modern conveniences whilst still maintaining its cultural and historical heritage. Baza is approximately one hour from the historic City of Granada and it´s winter ski slopes. A further 20 minutes along the motorway takes you to the regional airport of Granada. The airports of Almeria and San Javier (Murcia) are approximately 2 hours away. With its natural backdrop of mountains and lakes it is hard to believe that you are still not more than an hour’s drive to the beautiful coasts of Almeria and Costa Tropical.
