Sanxenxo is quite a large town so it is easy to get here by public transport and spend a week here happily but if you would like to see the outlying areas a car is recommended. This is Galicias holiday area with lots of small towns excellent beaches, fishing ports, islands and natural undiscovered areas with excellent seafood and watersports. Sanxenxo is approximately one hours drive from Santiago de Compostela Airport and 1 and half hours from La Coruña.
