The nearby town of L'Olleria having many amenities is a short drive on a very good road. L'Olleria is approx. 40 kms (30 mins) picturesque drive inland through magnificent countryside overflowing with orange and olive groves. The road has undergone expansion recently to mainly dual carriageway which has cut the travelling time down to the coast quite significantly. In this busy working town you will find many amenities including many small shops, supermarkets, banks, good schools, doctors, health clinic, bakers, butchers, many bar / restaurants etc. The larger town of Ontinyent is a 10 minute drive where more amenities that cannot be found in L'Olleria are available.
There are numerous blue flag sandy beach resorts in La Safor just a half hour drive from L'Olleria. The main coastal town of Gandia also provides all major amenities including an award winning very cosmopolitan sandy beach resort with Club Nautico and Marina. The playa of Gandia is the No. 1 tourist area for Spanish from the inland towns such as Madrid who have second holiday homes there where they live in the summer months to escape the heat in the interior.
The busy town of Oliva also on the coast is not so large and boasts a superb unspoilt sand dune protected beach, Club Nautico and Marina, large national park wetlands and an 18 hole golf course.
