There is a huge fresh water lake near Beniarres which is just a 10 min drive from the village over the hillside on a very good but twisty road. This is popular with locals who fish there.Gandia is the main coastal town of La Safor and offers all amenities of a city plus an award winning golden sandy beach resort which is the no. 1 resort for Spanish tourism. There is the Club Nautico and Marina on the beach plus there are many popular bars and restaurants and club / discothèques for the younger generation.
