The small traditionally Spanish town of Daimus is approx. 1 mile from the beach front, here you can find many amenities enough for daily living, including various small shops, doctors, chemist, doctors, popular bar / restaurants, weekly street market selling local produce etc.

The next town travelling north is the largest in our area, the main market town of Gandia, this makes Daimus a very popular location indeed. Here there is the atmosphere of a small Spanish town yet on the doorstep is the hustle and bustle of Gandia with all amenities including large shopping centres, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, banks, schools, general hospital, sports complexes, large weekly market etc. it is just a 2 minute drive to Gandia from Daimus which also boasts an award winning blue flag golden sandy beach (this is the no. 1 resort for Spanish tourism) many families from inland towns such as Madrid and Xativa own second homes here and they come for the summer months to escape the heat in the interior. Following the summer months the beaches here become very quiet and are ideal for long idyllic walks in the sunshine, water sports such as wind & kite surfing, skiing, scuba diving, horse riding and walking our faithful doggie friends.

Travelling south (4 min drive) is the second largest town of Oliva with many amenities, historic churches and castle overlooking the town. It is possible to walk along the seashore to here from Playa Daimus. The peaceful and unspoilt virgin sand dune beach of Oliva is a mile from the town and the dunes are now protected to preserve the fauna and wildlife. On the beachfront are many restaurants plus there is a Club Nautico and Marina with restaurant serving the fresh catch of the day and having an open-air swimming pool open to the general public.

The Oliva Nova Golf Complex with 18-hole course designed by Seve Ballesteros is a ten-minute drive south of Daimus and boasts a beautiful virgin sand dune beach setting. The clubhouse overlooks the course and is open to the general public and there is a popular restaurant with swimming pool and health spa also located here.
Opposite the Golf Complex is El Marjal (fresh water marsh land), which is a complete contrast; this is now a protected zone that houses an abundance of wildlife and fauna. El Marjal is an exceptionally peaceful area which is also very popular for walking, horse riding and for fishing in one of the many rivers running like mazes through the vast flat area.
