this finca-cortijo was built in the xix century by one of the eiffels engineers and belonged to the well known family garca-trevijano antonio garca moreno and his wife mara trevijano. antonio garca was an honest liberal politician, president of the granada’s casino. he represented the town district in the general and provintial court, as a lawyer and local judge, he acted as a mediator between rich and poor people, he was the light for many ill and humble people, he was the governor of malaga and illo-illo in the philipines. a well respected and intelligent man who died in 1909.
many ilustrated friends and visitors who stayed at this finca such as: federico garca lorca, manuel de falla, antonio de luna, manuel segura, segismundo moret......etc.
after the formal owner, the house was owned by different and interesting people such as carlos cano, the famous spanish singer who was the president of aljayat association, helping the wellbeing of kids from the sahara and the finca was the place he choosed to develop this altruist activity, and was also before, the base of a famous warehouse and later on, an olive oil mill cooperative.
