This Cortijo has been lovingly restored by the owners and is set in Arroyo Albanchez (between Cantoria and Almanzora) with stunning views and very peaceful surroundings.
The Cortijo consists of: -
Downstairs
Kitchen – Gas oven/hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, microwave, dining table
Lounge – Wood burner, comfy sofas, dining table and Sky TV freeview
Bedroom – Double bedroom, built in wardrobe, storage cupboard
Upstairs
Master bedroom – Double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers
Bedroom – Single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers
Shower room – Shower, basin, toilet
Outside Area
Swimming pool - Lots of area to sunbathe and relax with stunning views of the mountains, this is a shared pool with the Casita (little house), which is next door to the cortijo and is owned by the landlord.
There is also a private terrace at the back of the cortijo for you to relax in the sunshine and view in mountains.
Utility room – this is shared with the Casita and consists of;- washing machine, shower, basin and toilet.
Parking – There is ample off road parking.
Almanzora is a lovely village approx 10 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk from the Cortijo and has all the local amenities you would need for your day to day living: - Bank, Doctor, Chemist, primary school, post office Internet café and 2 mini markets. It also boasts 5 bars, which serve local Spanish tapas, and on Fridays there is a small market in the plaza where you can buy good local produce.
As you would expect in Spain, Almanzora has its fair share of fiestas and these are held during the summer months.
The nearest town from the Cortijo is Albox and is approx 15 minutes drive; there you will find a large supermarket, various shops, bars and restaurants. There are also 2 secondary schools and 3 primary schools.
There are many coastal resorts within a short drive including Mojacar, San Juan and the very Spanish town of Garrucha which has the best fish restaurants. The closest airport is Almeria, about an hours drive away. Murcia and Alicante are both just over 1.5 and 2 hours away respectively.
