If you've followed this series from the start, look at how far the daydream has come. It began with you scrolling listings at 11pm, half-embarrassed to take it seriously. It ends with a set of keys, a terrace, and a life lived a little more in the sun. That's not a small thing. Most people never get past the daydream. You did.

The journey, end to end
It's worth seeing the whole arc, because each step made the next one possible. You let yourself dream, and tested whether it was real. You worked out what kind of life you wanted, and where. You faced the budget honestly, learned what it would truly cost, and sorted the money. You searched with discipline, made your enquiries, took the trip, and found the place. You did the checks, made the offer, leaned on a good lawyer, signed at the notary, and got the keys. Then you settled in. Twenty-five steps, and you walked every one.
The wisdom of those who went before
The buyers in this series, from Catherine in Olvera to Nikki in Galera, Henry in Playa Flamenca to Hilary near Iznájar, didn't have special advantages. They had a dream and the willingness to follow the process. Phil and Vickie, who built their own home in Pinoso, distilled the whole thing into three things that make it work: a good agent, a good builder and a good lawyer. You can hear their story on episode 7 of the Kyero Spanish Property Podcast. Find good people, and the rest follows.
Wherever you are on the path
If you're reading this with keys already in hand: enjoy it, become part of your community, and let the place become home. If you're reading it as a dreamer who skipped ahead to the end, now you know the whole journey is walkable, one step at a time. Start at the beginning, and take the first one.
And if you know someone else quietly daydreaming about Spain, send them the guide. Every journey in this series started exactly where they are now.
